Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to support underprivileged women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period by removing financial and practical barriers to care. We work in partnership with hospitals, clinics, and communities to ensure women receive the support they need β€” at the time they need it most.

What We Do

🀰

Maternal Care Sponsorship

We sponsor essential antenatal, delivery, and postnatal care by working directly with healthcare providers to cover costs for eligible women.

🍼

Mother & Baby Essentials

We provide mother and baby hampers containing basic necessities to support dignity, comfort, and early newborn care.

🩺

Maternal Health Education

We empower women with information to make informed decisions about their health during and after pregnancy.

🀝

Hospital & Community Partnerships

We collaborate with healthcare facilities and local partners to strengthen access to maternal care for vulnerable women.

Where We Work

We are currently focused on Lagos State, Nigeria, where financial barriers continue to prevent many women from accessing consistent maternity care.

Our approach starts small, with carefully selected hospital partnerships, and is designed to scale sustainably to other regions over time.

Why This Matters

Every pregnancy deserves:

  • βœ“ Skilled medical care
  • βœ“ Dignity and compassion
  • βœ“ A safe start for both mother and baby

By supporting maternal care, we are not only saving lives β€” we are strengthening families and communities.

Why We Exist

Nigeria carries one of the highest maternal death burdens in the world. Every year, thousands of women lose their lives during pregnancy, childbirth, or in the weeks following delivery β€” many from preventable causes.

Maternal death is rarely the result of a single issue. It is often the outcome of multiple, interconnected challenges, including:

  • β€’ Limited access to skilled maternity care
  • β€’ Inadequate antenatal monitoring
  • β€’ Delays in seeking care
  • β€’ Financial barriers within the healthcare system

For women from deprived and low-income backgrounds, cost is one of the most significant obstacles. Many are unable to afford basic antenatal registration, routine check-ups, tests, or scans. As a result, some women avoid hospital care altogether during pregnancy, only presenting in labour β€” sometimes when complications are already advanced and options are limited.

Conditions such as high blood pressure, anaemia, infections, or fetal complications often go undetected during pregnancy when antenatal care is missed. By the time labour begins, what could have been managed earlier can become life-threatening for both mother and baby.

No woman should have to choose between seeking care and being able to pay.

No woman should delay treatment out of fear of hospital costs.

And no woman should die during pregnancy, labour, or the postnatal period from causes that are largely preventable.

We exist to help change this reality β€” by reducing financial barriers, supporting access to timely maternity care, and ensuring that vulnerable women are not left behind at the most critical moments of their lives.
